Founder & CEORead more...

Scott Bungay
Founder & CEO
Scott founded Bungay Renos after a career that took him from construction into emergency services and eventually back to where he started.

He first worked in construction alongside his father at Bungay Contracting as a teenager. After spending years as a career paramedic, firefighter and rescue technician, Scott began taking on renovation projects for friends and family before making the jump to Bungay Renos full-time in 2017.

Today, Scott’s role looks a little different. Rather than swinging the hammer every day, he focuses on the direction of the company, its people, and making sure Bungay Renos continues to grow without losing what made it special in the first place.

For Scott, that comes down to doing great work, treating people well, and building a company where family and life outside of work actually matter.

He lives in Deer Lake with his wife, Dawn, and their youngest of 2 boys, and continues to serve his community as a volunteer firefighter.
Interior Designer & Design LeadRead more...

Dawn Bungay
Interior Designer & Design Lead
Dawn is the creative eye behind Bungay Renos and the person who helps turn a renovation idea into a space that actually feels like home.

As an interior designer, she works with clients on everything from layouts and cabinetry to colours, finishes, fixtures and the countless little decisions that can make a renovation feel overwhelming. Dawn has a knack for listening to what a client wants, even when they’re not quite sure how to describe it, and bringing those ideas together into a cohesive design.

Her background in customer service is just as important as her eye for design. She’s approachable, organized and genuinely enjoys helping people work through the process.

And while Dawn has worn plenty of hats behind the scenes at Bungay Renos over the years, design is where she truly shines.
Operations ManagerRead more...

Brady Schroeder
Operations Manager
If there’s a Bungay Renos project underway, there’s a pretty good chance Brady knows exactly what’s happening with it.

As Operations Manager, Brady oversees the day-to-day production side of the company, coordinating crews and subcontractors, managing schedules, keeping projects moving and making sure the details don’t fall through the cracks.

He’s also a journeyman electrician and an experienced carpenter, which means he understands the work he’s managing because he’s spent years doing it himself.

Outside Bungay Renos, Brady serves as a Lieutenant with Deer Lake Fire Rescue. That experience shows in the way he leads: calm under pressure, comfortable making decisions and always willing to step in when something needs to get done.

Most importantly, Brady genuinely cares about the people on both sides of a project: the crew building it and the clients trusting us with their home.
Lead Finish CarpenterRead more...

Nicholas Yetman
Lead Finish Carpenter
Nic has been part of Bungay Renos since 2019, and over those years he’s become one of the people we trust most when the details really matter.

As our Lead Finish Carpenter, Nic specializes in the precision side of the trade: the trim, custom details, stairs, cabinetry and finish work where being almost right simply isn’t good enough.

He’s also much more than a finish carpenter. Nic has the experience and problem-solving ability to take on complex renovation work and the leadership to guide a project and the people working alongside him.

Quietly meticulous and incredibly dependable, Nic takes enormous pride in what he builds. If there’s a detail on one of our projects that makes you stop and take a second look, there’s a pretty good chance Nic had something to do with it.
Lead Renovation CarpenterRead more...

Danny Stone
Lead Renovation Carpenter
Danny brings more than 25 years of construction experience to Bungay Renos, and there’s very little in a renovation that he hasn’t encountered somewhere along the way.

His background includes insurance restoration, residential renovations and running his own construction company in Ontario before returning home to Newfoundland with his family.

As a Lead Renovation Carpenter, Danny is one of the people we rely on to take a project from demolition through to the finished product. He’s an experienced carpenter with particularly strong skills in drywall, plastering, finishing & tile, giving him an unusually broad skill set on a renovation site.

Danny brings experience, versatility and a level-headed approach to solving the inevitable surprises that come with renovating existing homes.

And after 25+ years in the industry, knowing how to deal with the unexpected is worth a heck of a lot.
Roofing LeadRead more...

Shannon LeRoux
Roofing Lead
When Bungay Renos decided to build a dedicated roofing division, there was one person we wanted leading it.

Shannon.

This is actually Shannon’s second chapter with Bungay Renos, and we’re darn glad to have him back.

Roofing is where Shannon really shines. He brings years of hands-on experience, knows how to keep a roofing job moving, and isn’t afraid of a hard day’s work. As our Roofing Lead, he’s responsible for leading our roofing projects and making sure the same standards our clients expect from Bungay Renos carry right through to the roof.

He’s also one of those people who can make a long, miserable day on a jobsite considerably more entertaining. 😂

Hard-working, experienced and always good for a laugh. Shannon fits this crew pretty well.
Apprentice CarpenterRead more...

Brayden Gilbert
Apprentice Carpenter
Every experienced carpenter started somewhere, and Brayden is putting in the work to build his career the right way.

As an Apprentice Carpenter, he’s learning the trade hands-on alongside some very experienced people while becoming more capable and independent with every project.

Brayden came to Newfoundland from Ontario and has quickly become part of the Bungay Renos crew. He’s willing to learn, isn’t afraid of hard work and jumps in wherever he’s needed, which goes a long way in this business.

We take developing the next generation of tradespeople seriously, and we’re excited to watch where Brayden takes his career.
Senior Renovation CarpenterRead more...

Jeffery Joerges
Senior Renovation Carpenter
Jeff isn’t exactly new to Bungay Renos.

In fact, he was the third employee we ever hired, joining us back when Bungay Renos was still in its early days and helping establish the workmanship, attitude and way of doing things that eventually became what we now simply call the BR way.

After spending some time away, we’re incredibly happy to have Jeff back on the crew.

As a Senior Renovation Carpenter, Jeff brings years of experience and the versatility that comes from knowing his way around every stage of a renovation. From framing and general carpentry through to the finishing details, he’s the kind of carpenter who can step into a project, understand what needs to happen and get to work.

But what makes having Jeff back particularly special is that he already understands what Bungay Renos is supposed to feel like. He was part of building that culture from the beginning.

He’s experienced, dependable, and brings a steady hand to every project he’s part of.

Some people join the BR way. Jeff helped build it.

I can’t recommend them enough, we could not have picked a better contractor!
Bungay Renos helped us with the renovation of our house, which includes big projects like replacing our siding and replacing our chimney. Every step of the way they were professional, accommodating, and helpful. Their creativity, knowledge, and attention to detail helped us get exactly what we wanted in the shortest amount of time possible. I can’t recommend them enough, we could not have picked a better contractor to work on our house.

Amazing work! When I say they put their hearts into their work, it truly shows!
Where do I even start? We have hired Bungay Reno’s to do multiple renovation projects for us because they are the best! They are professional, perfectionists, punctual, hilarious and no matter what project you present them with, it will be perfect when they leave! We had them fix a shower leak caused by a previous botched install of the shower (not by Bungay) by installing quartz around the outer rim of the shower, because of the leak our entire basement ceiling needed to be refinished which Bungay did beautifully! they built us a skating rink for our kids to enjoy in the winter, finished off our basement Rec room, remodeled our upstairs bathroom, remodelled our downstairs guest room and walk in closet, and many odds and ends throughout our home! Amazing work! When I say they put their hearts into their work, it truly shows!

We could not recommend Bungay Reno’s more highly.
We could not recommend Bungay Reno’s more highly. Scott and his crew of Brady, Nic, Jeremy, Rick, and Dawn (interior designer- Down home designs) were absolutely incredible to work with. From day one of the renovation the emphasis was on keeping things as clean and organized as possible. Every effort was made to ensure that dust was kept to a minimum and the site was left in perfect condition at the end of each day. Every person that came to the house - the plumbers, cabinet maker and countertop suppliers were very professional and friendly and excelled at their jobs. During the course of the renovation I appreciated the fact that no request was too much to ask for and no questions were left unanswered. Responses to any questions were addressed immediately and very often great advice was given for alternative ideas. I will definitely contact Bungay Reno’s for any future work to be done at my home!

From the very first call I could tell Scott was different...
After having hired other professionals many times in the past few years and not getting quality work I found myself putting off home repairs because I felt there was no one I could trust to do it right and I started to believe that maybe my standards were just not reasonable. I found Scott through a video my cousins woodworking business was tagged in (Dusty Moustache Creations -look them up if you need a custom wood piece, they are also amazing). Thinking they seemed too good to be true I watched every TikTok and Facebook Reel multiple times before finally reaching out. From the very first call I could tell Scott was different, he was genuine and knowledgeable and all my contractor anxiety was instantly gone. While my moderate size repair did turn into a major repair (thanks in part to some of the previous “professionals” work) Scott and his crew were absolutely amazing. They had a solution for every issue that came up and I never had to worry about any of it. There are not enough good words to say about Scott, Brady and Nick. I am beyond grateful to have finally found a company I can trust with all my future renovation needs. ❤️1
